Air Liquide obtains authorization to operate its future renewable hydrogen production site in Normandy
- Regulations
In a decree, the Seine-Maritime prefecture has authorised the operation of Air Liquide Normand'Hy's hydrogen production plant by electrolysis of water in the Port-Jérôme industrial zone.
This is a new step in the realization of this project. The prefectoral decree published on January 10, 2022 concludes the work carried out with the teams of H2V, the company behind this project, which was bought out in full by Air Liquide in October 2021. Now called Air Liquide Normand'Hy, it aims to build a large-scale electrolyser of at least 200 MW for the production of renewable hydrogen in Normandy. It is scheduled to be commissioned in 2025.
